I've seen some around town, and it has greatly benefited from a nice straw mulch for the winter. The others are black, dry and not looking fresh at all. :-) (I'm gloating.....lol)

Thank you. I've learned to do it every year David. I pull it off and find all sorts of survivors that no one else seems to get, even reseeders. Almost like it never freezes beneath it. Sadly the only straw available here is barley straw, so the next years weeding is a bit intense. :-)
