Another Wild Pasque Flower

Another Wild Pasque Flower

I just had to post another shot. I wrote a blog about the walk where I found these. Such a sight! I've waited years to run across this wild spring wonder.

Well worth the wait Gt.......it is stunning...I love all the hairy stems and covering
I suppose it is to keep the cold out?

It might be for the cold. That is part of its delicacy. I was surprise that there was no accompanying foliage. They just burst out of the ground like a crocus.

Thank you for the comments. I am so glad I caught this to share. :-) Now to snatch one up for home......lol!

Thanks BB. So much nature out there. I'll snatch one from a less visited trail. :-)

Thank you Terry.

I'd feel the guilt if there were a shortage or I was taking from the trail. Here, there will be many more.
