Shirley mine are in dry soil with no goodness in it, and its very dull as no sun gets to it, where i put them it about 3ft wide - 12-14ft long.but its out the way of the rest of garden.

Just see how it goes, i'm giong to try some round pond so they will have two chances they either live or die.

thats true carol, i think as long as they are kept damp it helps, i give mine a really good water each day, more come summer.

Glad you had a good day with San . Carole , I have some Ferns in very dry soil in the shade under some trees they appear to be quite happy there and like you say it fills the gap ...

nice ferns i have a couple near my pond..........

Thanks Holly, think your right Amy ferns seem to thrive in rubbish soil, where no other plants will live.

We could get some if you like and instead of getting fish from division lane we could get them from the one near that garden centre.
