Thats a shame....will you take root cuttings?

I saved some seed last year from mine, and managed to get a couple of them to germinate, going to try some more this year

You'll have to whip those bees into shape - tell them non-pollination is not allowed.

Strange - I do get lots of bees........maybe there are more pleasing flowers (to them!)

I pulled some outer pieces from mine and got them to root very much like Geranium. I have 4 large plants now. No flowers out yet your garden is well ahead of mine Spritz :-))

If mine's well ahead, then others must be even further behind, Annella...the ash trees have no sign of leaves yet, and plants that should be in full bloom...aren't.

I love this Erodium it has beautiful leaves and flowers that stay upright plus a long flowering period.

Yes, I totally agree...and although it likes the sun, it seems to flower in a semi-shady position, as well!

The only efficient way to propagate Erodium manescavii is from seed, as top or root cuttings usually end in failure. Self sown seedlings usually appear in large numbers when grown in poor soil. Stony ground is best for this plant and it will even germinate between bricks or paving.
One problem may be your soil is too rich and shaded or maybe a different clone should be introduced as a pollen parent. This species grows in the Western Pyrenees on grassy mountainsides.

I have managed to get a very few seedlings from last year's seeds. It certainly doesn't seed itself, sadly, and only sets a limited amount of seeds too.
