My alium is of a colour closer to chives...this is a zingy colour...just great! I have one lonely little fellow that must have been put in with the other bulbs by mistake..it is an alium...it has the globe like head but it has a very short stem...usually only about 8 inches tall... in a very pale mauve.

Thanks Lori ,maybe your little one is the runt ,bless I bet it grow,s just as well as the other,s ,these Allium,s have now all opened fully ..must be all the sunshine we are having here .....at last ....How,s your weather doing ,is it still warm?

It's one long tale of woe, Janette~ Now we're having our first heat wave and it's not even June! Temps have been up and down, have had a really steady northeast wind...and when the wind dies down it's too warm! But, for all of that, the garden is well ahead of last year...
noticed that my little alium is starting to head up...will take a pic.

Look forwards to seeing this little allium Lori ,it,s very warm here as well ,thing,s are just starting to catch up now after such a slow start.......
