Clematis 'Niobe'

lovely, mine is nowhere opening yet!

It's such a deep, rich colour isn't it ?
This is the first of my large flowereds to open !

Thanks Karen, this one grows up my obelisk along with Clematis 'Balearica' Rose 'Pink Perpetue' and Lathyrus grandiflorus !!!

I have a Niobe given to me as a thank you gift 9 years ago. When we moved here 6 years ago i dug it up and brought with me and planted it in the border but it never did so well and the few flowers seemed lost. This week i read that they do best in containers so today i dug it up again. The roots hadn't gone deep enough so it came up quite easily. I have planted it into a nice deep container and will now wait for it to perk up and hopefully flower this year.

I may buy another one Rohima and put it in a pot! :))

That is gorgeous the colour is so deep and rich I can imagine how it looks growing up your Obelisk with the rose and Sweet Peas you must take a picture to show us!
