Lovely place for sitting and watching the bees!

Lots of very large bees in the garden, but am a bit concerned about them because keep finding dead ones, I know they are in trouble from a virus of some sort or so I have heard just hope it isn't the case - I like bees,

Oh, that IS a bit worrying! Finding lots of dead ones.....mmmmm......wonder if you could put a question on about that......?

I know that there is a virus going about (the experts keep talking about) but don't know if that was the honey bees or just any bee. Apparently started abroad and is spreading rapidly, hope it doesn't spread as quickly as that nasty little red lily beetle has done. I have killed (I know I am sad) 93 in total so far this year alone. Made a decision to count them and still counting.

Oh goodness! 93. I have never had one....yet! I keep checking the lilies. I know, I've heard about the virus on the honey bees. Hope it's not a sudden death thing like that......a bit worrying indeed. I don't know if it also attacks the bumbles either.

You do have such a lot of lovely shrubs and plants, it all looks great!, sorry you are being plagued withe the Lily Beetle, I havent many Lilies but would be devastated to lose them.

Some areas have not got them yet, but do keep a look out, they are working their way further up the country, I decided to keep count just out of interest, the last week in May was a bad time, they came in droves, over 20 on one day. Quite amazing really, things have steady a little with them now -thank goodness up to 94 as I write.
