I think it might be a variagated weigela too? and may be why it looks a bit is because odd it needs to go in the ground they are big shrubs
I dont think its a Actinidia kolomikta although they go pink I think the leaves are more round at the end?

Hang on SB - if it is a Weigela? they are 6ft x6ft. But there is something not quite right with the leaves so may well be something else?

i got it in a small pot so thats why i thought it was a pot plant not a shrub, will find out tomoz.

I put a comment on your blog. It could possibly be Houttonyia chameleon, check if it smells of oranges

always happening, lol, off now catch up tomoz, nite nite ;o))

It just might be an Actinidia the leaves on ours are very similar.....

Thanks DD I did think it looked like one? I hope it is an Actinidia rather than Houttonyia chameleon? It took me five years to get rid, it roots spread very quickly even from under the pot and takes over everything (see my blog on it) IF IT IS? do move it SB it will take over around the pond and in it. If you stand it in the middle of concrete or a slab it can look lovely in a pot with pretty flowers but be ware!!!

My young Actinidia hasn't any white markings round the leaf edge also the leaves are not so narrow . I put a recent pic. on of the parent tree Actinidia leaves you might be able to see on that San ..
Page 2....... 6th along :o)

Dont think it is a Houttonyia chameleon its not growing right for that. Try looking at 'Cornus alba' which has white edges, -Mine is 10 ft by 8ft Lol.

Me to , I saw some leaves exactley like yours today San and it was a Cornus ' Dogwood ' goes to show how diifficult it is to identify sometimes ..... :o)
6 Jun, 2010
I did mention cornus alba earlier SB because it looks similar to mine and now Amy thinks so to?
6 Jun, 2010
maybe it is guys, i have two other vines and leaves dont look like them, they are different colours but leaf shape doesnt match, will see as it grows a bit more ;o)), maybe a bigger pot incase its a fast grower
