Its about 9 foot tall Kathy, it was in a pot for years so not sure how old it is but the GOYers assured me they flower at about 5 years old but this is the first time mine has. Lots of brown leaves, I think it sent the flower out as a survival technique, I'm well pleased.

Ours was only small but the last 3 years or so its gone well. Hopefully you'll get flowers in the next couple of years.

Hi Amy, so once they've flowered, we're not guaranteed they'll flower every year?

Wow Dawn, how big is this? I have one only around three years old wondered how long till they flower.
Thought I'd lost my red leaved one this winter, even though it was well wrapped up, just about to pull it up this week, glad I left it as it has new leaves :-)
