The rain we had was most certainly 'unwelcome', Rbt, as it was torrential with hail mixed in! It battered some of my flowers...Grrr....
I love Sweet peas, Georgiamum, but I start mine in October here, and plant them out in April. I expect it's different where you are!

Yes its been hot here for months. And have a much longer growing Season I might keep them inside until February

I like having them early, but of course they finish early, as well. I meant to plant some more in the spring, but I just forgot! :-((

People say that - I suppose I'm lucky with the mild-ish climate here, plus the fact that I do take risks and get them planted out early!
