I got right in (the barrow pit) to shoot a pic through the clump itself. Nice afternoon light, the day had been beautiful. These streets are all walking distance from work out in the river flats, Fairbanks.

Love those Irises... just so outstanding when they blossom in a mass like that! Have they naturalized into the environment., or are they a species native to Alaskan wetlands?

These are native, they are well established. The show this year has been wonderful, such a warm long spring here! Now summer coming into sway. I caught the flower show up the highway from Southcentral for Solstice. They get more moister there on the coast, so more fern and such, less iris like us, a river town. Collecting a blog or something. :-)
