Musa Ae Ae - Ae Ae Banana

This variegated Hawaiian banana is very tropical. It doesn't like wind, cold or even too much sun...and is very temperamental. It's also an extremely expensive banana to buy if you can find it for sale. I was lucky enough to get it from a friend for free. Photo taken June 25, 2010.

The variegation makes the banana very sought after. The bananas are also variegated, being green and white when immature, and yellow and white when mature.

Thanks! It's been in my front yard for over 3 years now. I have posted some nice pics of this banana plant in the past on GoY...however, it hasn't bloomed yet. Hopefully, this year it will bloom. : > ) It's also been trying to put out a pup since last year.
