Looks very similar to yours Freesia, still not certain of the name but I love it!

It is Clematis `istexensis `The First Lady Pp...i looked it up in my book
called `Handy Gardener by Collins....have you noticed Pp? `that all the stamens in the middle of the flower are different in colour? Your 1 is exactly
the same as in the book...i am just going to take a look at mine again to
double check, to see if its the same as yours?

Pp it is similar to yours, your star shaped markings, are more deeper than mine,
`did you know Pp there are 1,500 species of Clematis? LOL

Thanks for the information Freesia, must look it up myself, any differences are sometimes sominute that it is difficult to detect!

you are so right Pp....a lot of the pinky lilac, like ours,seem to have so many species, you can end up getting quite confused..LOL
