Scabiosa ochroleuca

Scabiosa ochroleuca (Scabiosa ochroleuca)

Just coming into flower. I've also grown some mini-ones called 'Moondance' which are in bud.

Lovely flowerhead. Mine are a light blue. It's their second year and they survived the winter o.k. and are just about to flower.

Lovely - your garden must be a Mecca for plant lovers. Im thinking of buying some of these - any problems with them ? do slugs like them ?

I might mix'n'match them with Knautia Red Knight - any thoughts ?

They flower a bit later, Paul. I grew these and the smaller ones ('Moondance') from seed, which probably explains it! No problems with them at all! My 'orrible snails haven't touched them. :-))

Thanks for the compliment!

From what I have seen on here you have a fantastic garden - also when I have searched for particular plants that I like (or am considering) you seem to always have a lovely specimen or two of whatever I search for

You're very kind. I'm lucky enough to have a large garden, and I love plants! How about a short break in the West Country next June when the garden's open????? ;-0
