Ravenea hildebrandtii - Dwarf Majesty Palm

Dwarf Majesty Palm is native to Grand Comoro Island at about 11 degrees latitude in the Indian Ocean which is just north of Madagascar. Photo taken on a very cloudy day at the San Diego Zoo on June 28, 2010.

Thanks! This palm has become more popular in the last 5 years or so... however, it not extremely common like the Majesty palm (Ravenea rivularis) which is sold everywhere and grows much larger/taller.
