Have had this on our wishlist but, from pics here on GOY, it does seem to be really quite red, rather than a dark maroon/brown/black., which is what you'd expect from the variety name. I think that someone has tried to cash in on the trend for "chocolate" plants, but this is a very badly named one. It is a lovely rose, however, and hope that you can find a matching pair . :-))

I know what you mean David when I saw it first it was in bud and they are a quite dark smokey maroon.... like your Black Pearl Lily pic but on opening it is more orangey red as you see - lovely though I'll keep trying to find a pair :o)
