Clematis 'multi-blue'

I have Multi Blue also, just coming into it's second flowering now. One of my favourite clems and I have 22 of them!!

Hello Lulu......22 of them, wow! You really love this your Multi Blues, don't you!lol! They can be prone to Wilt, but worth the risk, cos they do flower so well. Thank you for your comment :~))

Becareful Pip, once you start investing in buying Clematis, you are on a long slippery road my friend lol! There is such a huge choice out there, and with Clems, you can have different ones in season almost throughout the year~they are amazing, and I love them to bits, as do so many Goyers on here! LOL! :~)) You will be in very good company my friend!

my fowers on my clem dried up and not flower but the plant is fine ,any ideas flori, yours is stuning x

It's a pain when they dry up, maybe wilt or wind damage? You just have to hope it does better next year

arhh thanxs lulu i moved it and thort it may b that. it is in a protected spot tho , am sad it not flower it is lovely wen it does. heres hopeing .

I'm so sorry to hear about the problem with your Clematis, Cris, maybe worth cutting it back hard and letting it regrow from the base of the plant, will give it a second chance......I have not had this particular problem, though have had wilt a few times which is a real pain! Might be worth putting this up on the Questions page, Cris, and see if anyone else has gone through this, and might be able to help with an answer......

Do Clems grow from seed? (I don't know believe it or not)

Never come across a clem seed! Cuttings or layering I think.

Now believe it or not girls, I have actually come across Clem seeds....though can only guess if you can get them for Multi-Blue....it's the kind of chicken and egg situation, which came first?? Ha ha ha! :~))

This always looks so spectacular when it flowers, though is prone to Clematis wilt as some of the large flowered variety are..I am so glad that you like it Scotkat..Thank you for looking in on me..\0/x
