Wild Strawberry

The strawberry patches get thick and full, matting a disturbed hillside like this one. They do have the best flavor though they are soooo tiny.

TY. This spot is pretty exposed and without night, there is no 'safe' time. Guess the mice leave it alone. We have more problems with voles and shrews.
Delicious strawberries. Next to come, raspberries. Much closer at hand. :-)

Wild are very tiny, but so precious. Should lay out a clump somewhere around the house. :-)

These look yummy. Have you ever experienced a fire ant attack?? They love wild strawberries and attack viciously if you're not careful,

EEEEK! NO! :-) lol. Alaska doesn't have many menacing creatures that sneak up on you. A wood ant isn't that mean. I'm glad we don;t have them in the strawberries GG. :-)
