That's a great view Ann. Sometimes you have to use the hose, or else all your hard effort and cash just goes to dust! Lovely!

When it's this dry I stop cutting the grass, I hate how it looks but it does stay damp at the roots. This was taken after the first cut in nearly 3 weeks, then I put the sprinkler on and gave it a good soak. The sprinkler also waters the slope and borders at the same time as the grass.
Most of the plants would be ok, but I have planted some new ones that were really suffering in the dry clay.
