This is a section of the herbaceous bed we created & planted up last year in the Orchard with newly seeded plants. Several of the dalphiniums reached over 8ft. (Mr CG is 6ft & he couldn't reach the tops).

Thanks all - yes Janey, Mr CG's identity has finally been blown. There are several dalphs between 6 - 8 ft in various parts of the garden, but the biggest seem to be in this bed. There's nothing special about the soil & nothing was added to it - was waste ground last year (See pics 103 & 104) - a huge difference to now.
