Lovely, my favourite butterfly - I wanted put a buddleia in the gardens downstairs, but couldn't find a space in a sunny spot, only in shade, and the butterflies prefer the flowers to be in sun.

what a shame bamboo, could you have budleia buzz anywhere, i have two and small enough to fit somewhere and still have large flowers for butterflies ;o)

Not sure - if something dies over winter, maybe, I've managed to stuff it to the gunnels already, lol!

lol lily i find peacocks do stay still unlike some butterflies which you chase for hours and just get a blurrr lol, bees can be a pain to ;o)

Bee's are harder than butterflies as so small and camera struggles to focus on them. This is a Red Admiral butterfly (courtesy of Gina). She knows her butterflies thats for sure! ;-)

yes they are steve and sorry but this is a peacock, red admiral is darker and has orange and white markings, no eyes on wings, sorry Gina, look red admiral up steve you will see the difference ,http://www.dgsgardening.btinternet.co.uk/butterflyredadmiral.htm

It is definitely a Peacock, Steve - Red Admiral doesn't look anything like the same, doesn't have those wonderful "drops of water" eyes on the wings.
