Geranium 'Sirak'

Geranium 'Sirak' (Geranium)

I've been trying to get hold of this geranium for ages - I even ordered it from Wisley! I found some this afternoon - so now I can replace some of the others that spread and have no names. The flowers are large and beautiful!

The RHS Plantfinder says 'widely available'...but it wasn't! I'm delighted.:-))))

Wow! This is stunning! I can get an idea of how big the flowers are from the background....amazing!

You peeked! ;-)))))

Yes, it's a beauty....I'm really looking forward to having it instead of some of the a.p.gs.

I pulled out some oxonianum today and some of my clarkei kashmir purple. They had succumbed to the dreaded invasion of the campanula punctata....never mind, I have loads more elsewhere!

That really does spread around, doesn't it! From one side of the garden to the other, as well, presumably by seed???

No, not yet. Its just I bought three plants of kashmir purple and have been able to split some....I love it! The other one, the oxonianum I bought last year, but I don't like the colour...that sickly pink colour...so I'm just keeping my 'named' oxonianums now!

Good idea. I just dislike the anon. pink ones...they're all the same, they spread far, far too much, and I am fed up with them! Grrrrr......

Yes, bit like me and the lamium...it seems like a good idea when you're filling a new border and you want to cover some earth...but in time, it just looks....dull and smothers.

Exactly. :-(( Except - I inherited them!

this is truely stunning spritz.

Did I tell you where I came across it? It was in a fabulous garden open in a village group - I spotted it and asked its name. The owner of the garden turned out to be an RHS Committeee member! That garden is 'work in progress' still, but it'll be open for the NGS by next year, for sure. Just gorgeous...:-)))

that is fantastic. I love looking at others gardens too.

It had certain 'elements' that you see in the RHS gardens - rope swags with roses and clematis trained along them...fabulous colour co-ordination - just gorgeous. Can't wait to go back!

put this one on favs, I'll be moving some of my more invasive ones, and that looks a perfect replacement :-))))

That's what I thought when I spotted it! :-)) I hope you find it more easily that I did, though.

I'm visiting Wisley next weekend, so I'll look in the plant centre, see what they have :-)

Haha. Hollow laugh. Unless my ordered plants have come in by then, they hadn't got any. It was June when I ordered them, so it's almost 6 weeks ago. If my plants arrive, you can have those - I haven't rung them and told them yet.

thanks Spritz, I have found a supplier on the net, so if I can't find it, I'll go to them

That's good! :-)
