Masses of these very large still-to-be-identified Hover Flies were feeding in the garden yesterday.

There are so many species of Hoverfly but I'll have to try to figure them out! They have the most amazing black and gold banded wings with a metallic sheen.

Yes I can see the metallic sheen with the black and gold. Perhaps Toto or Bonkersbon could ID it for you.
