I love growing plants on the patio under the canopy, which is lightly shaded by the old grapevine. They seem to like the protection and the gentle shade in really hot weather.

Thanks TT and homebird.They are near the water tap and have water retention crystals in the soil, so its not too difficult to keep them topped up and dead headed.
