I can't get mine to do anything - what's the secret??

Meanie:

The secret is lots of fertilizer...if it's grown in a pot.

Milky:

Your Angel's Trumpet is looking great! : > )

This year all my Angel's Trumpets have bloomed every month since December. It's due to our unusually cool weather this Spring and Summer so far.

Meanie it get Tomato feed twice a week, and I make sure it gets a spray over with the hose every day while we have no rainfall...Having a job keeping bugs off it at the moment though eating holes in the leaves.....This is over 6 feet high now.....Thanks Delonix....

I'll give that a go then. Thank you.

Milky:

That's a good idea. Tomato feed...as Brugmansia is in the Solanaceae family (same family as the tomato).

I have lots of problems with mites, worms and other bugs eating the leaves of Brugmansia also. Some type of bug eats the soft and hard wood also.

Thanks for that info Andy...I have inspected this one thoroughly but I cant find what is doing the damage, I can only presume it must be nocturnal....Lol

Milky:

I think you correct. Most of the bugs which attack my Angel's Trumpets are nocturnal...I see the damage but can't find the actual bugs most of the time.

wow getting close maureen, is it bigger than last year yet ;o))

2 Aug, 2010

Wow that is big, OH grown one from seed this year, there is a flower head just starting, does it need full sun? and what size pot are you using Milky?

2 Aug, 2010

Dotty mine doesnt have full sun, and its now in a huge tub, about 30 litre size I think...i do mist it once a day and its so big it gets fed twice a week ....Sanbaz its about the same size as last year, but it got ripped to shreds with the hailstones then, hence its protected under our Lean~to....Lol
