I had no idea that there were so many varieties.

Incredible, every individual passion flower I've known only lasts for 1 day. This one is still going. Each flower has lasted 5 days so far!!

Do the fruits taste very different between the varieties?

Yes they do. Some taste rubbish, some are poisonous, but most taste nice. Some taste wonderful - particulalrly p.mollissima, p.edulis and p.atala

Yeah, there are a few. They look evil too - which helps!! Stinking passionflower and p.Gizmo are two which aren't nice lol

Gizmo has really attractive flowers, but seriously freaky fruit (I've just googled it).
Not sure if this is of any use to you.........

He clearly has a passion (no pun intended) for them.
I had a look at a couple of the seed links on it, I'm getting tempted.

The best place is a German Nursery Website called Blumen und Passiflora. They have a huge selection and are sooo cheap. Also, the plants are big and in brilliant condition.
They are well worth a google!
