What are the plants in the vase?
They are fascinating looking and I would LOVE to add them to my plant collection!
The "ball looking" plant is stunning! What is it?

Happy to oblige! the "ball" one is Echinops or Globe Thistle, the orange/red one is Crocosmia I hope you can find them locally for your garden and thank you for your comment I will let my grandaughter know you admired her arrangement from afar :o)

How awesome, Neellan, the Echinops is a "must have" for my collection! What a cool looking "critter" and MOST interesting plant.. I can see some "dusty-miller" in a container with one of them growing out of the top of the large container. That could look rather nice!
I'll try it next growing season and take some photos..
A gray container with very different plant textures. This could be good.. We'll see what happens...
