Yes, quite different to the usual isn't it. It's not easy to see from this photo, but the flowers are all arranged in little balls rather than the usual panicle.

How tall do you expect this to reach, Karen ? My common-or-garden mauve one is about 9ft. high now !

Strange but true fact, Karen, my son just forwarded me an e-mail from the on-line plant company he'd bought my 'Shirley' and 'Negrita' tulip bulbs from a couple of year ago. Guess what is on offer today ? Yes, this 'Sungold' Buddleia , so there's one birthday present I know about now ! So glad you posted the photo. : o )))))))))

Fantastic news Shirley...a bit of 'serendipity' there! so glad you found it! I'm not sure how tall it will be, about 5' this year and I will be pruning it hard every spring!

Karen, my 'Sungold' is now about 6ft. tall, can't believe the growth it's put on already. Methinks it needs a severe prune after flowering ... lol!

Goodness, I have no buddleja flowers at all yet....though they are coming soon! I think all buddlejas need a good hard prune in the spring don't they....or they just take over!
