My favourite too Sanbaz - I can't stop posting photos of it on here!
Have you tried tweaking the exposure compensation mode on your camera? Set it down a couple of points and see what happens.

I've always had trouble getting pics of red lobelias, Sandra. This is great, and thriving! :-))
I had noticed, Meanie, lol! You can keep them coming, though, so far as I'm concerned. :-))

I remember, Sandra, my first ever comment on here was a question asking where to find lobelia cardinalis "Ruby Slippers" (for our wiz of Oz garden theme then). We were so exdcited to get it, and, finally, see the flowers, which are like most red lobelias, of course. They do look a bit like pairs of dangling, re shoes, in a way. Anyhow, the pics we got are all more garish than the true colour, I agree. So glad yours is thriving in its present position! :-)))

L.Queen Victoria will grow really well at the edge of water - they love to have their feet wet!
Mine are in a section of raised bed that is lined with plastic (with drainage holes) to keep them happy!
26 Aug, 2010
oo ok , will try then thanks meanie
26 Aug, 2010

A nice plant to compliment them in the raised border is Mimulus Cardinalis.
