hehe thanks for that David! When we went up to Scotland 5 years ago my Dad told me to watch out for one, it became the joke of the holiday and still is! No Lorraine Kelly's in sight, wrong time of year!!

It's the most amazing book, I had to swap the book with my Auntie, being the thing I would most like to save out of my mums house, I finally got it back 3 years later and I love it. Such an amazing recall of history and love of flowers, people and animals, its just such a beautiful book, very special indeed......x

Seriously, I have a couple of antique books like this with prints of hand-painted flora and fauna. I love them to bits!!!! I also love to see those old botanical paintings in exhibitions, too. Many Thanks for sharing, Lulu! (another famous Scottish "bird", of course, lol!)

Did you actually see a capercaillie in the wild on that hol? I've never seen a wild one, just some in wildlife parks!!!!!
