Thanks for all the comments. They have been a great performance, and even coming into bloom again, though on smaller canes. I'll mix in some blue one day. :-) These are one of the standards in Fairbanks, just can't fail here with delphinium.

Thanks so much. I'm glad I went with this white Camelot series to start my collection. I've been eying the mauve Gueneviere for my next I think. Your Camellard sounds lovely. I haven't seen that one here.

You have reason to be glad they did so well, GT! They really are lovely flowers! I've never grown Delphiniums. Perhaps I could sow some down on the allotment!

Thank you. They are a great addition. Just remember to stake if there is any chance of rains....lol. They get very tall and can break off or lay to the ground. These are tied up since the first rain, they grow along a fence so I can do that easily. They love our climate and soil, but midsummer there are many houses with lines of delph laying wet across the lawn.

Often the same happens here in the UK!

Imagined so, thus the tip. :-) Delphinium is no no fail here that those who never even look at their border put them in, so we have plenty laying uncared for.

The gardening programmes always advise us on how to stake them so as to avoid them getting blown over.

Talking about plants getting blown over, down on the allotments lots of sunflowers were blown over during the weekend. Including on ours! We have probably got more than any other plot as Gerry likes to grow lots of them. I had to tie some up & cut of the flowers on some of them. Various multi-headed plants had been blown over so I cut the flowers off & put them upright again, firming the soil around the roots & putting in a stake to hold them up. I've had no plant die on me as far as I can tell at present.

I brought home a lot of sunflowers from some of the multi-headed ones! They look nice on the living room table! Look out for a photo in my pictures.

You are getting strong winds if you have sunflowers blowing over. Whoa! I would welcome those sunny faces in the house though, hope you get more blooms on the plants.
