Wow how lucky you are Amy to have a deer in the garden, even though he's enjoying a munch on your leaves lol

It was so unexpected and lucky that I had my camera in my pocket ... I tried to creep nearer to get a better pic. but didn't want to scare it , It wasn't in my garden Carole , it was outside the gate we have a long dirt track drive leading down to us , we have to put chicken wire round the bottom of our gates and fences to keep out the rabbits , I expect the deer would come in if we left the gate open .....

I do feel so sorry for this deer...i read in a Wildlife Magazine that in some Counties they have started culling them, because of the damage they seem to do to the trees & Hedges, some people are protesting against them, because
of the damage they seem to do to their gardens...its so sad, but it was noted
that there is no other way to stop them, if they do not cull them, there will
be no countryside left!! I love all animals & do hate them being killed...it is
a cruel world...: ~ ((( This 1 looks like their enjoying themselves lol

That is sad Fsp . all animals are precious the world would be a much poorer place without these lovely creatures ... I must admit I did put some carrots outside the gate in the cold winter , we have alot of rabbits out there so i'm not sure who ate them .........

That`s the right thing to do Amy...these poor Animals need our help during
the cold, bleak, long days of winter...i think we, all have a soft spot for all our Wildlife....: ~ ))

When I was in the animal park. I overheard someone refer to these as vermin. When I mentioned it to my hubby, he said they can do a lot of damage if you don't keep an eye on them.

Thanks Fsp , I hate to think of animals going hungry , they can do a lot of damage Linda but surely that's the fault of us humans for taking away the huge forests and places where they use to roam free ..... we want it all ! it's not fair is it :o(

No it's not fair. It's as Fsp said, and my hubby agreed, we'd have no countryside left as they do tend to eat quite a lot of the greenery.

I'm glad you found it Janey ,they are regular visitors and would be chased out of the area if they get planning permission , the towns name Dereham comes from the fact that once upon a time it was woods with deer living in it , it would be such a shame if it comes to an end , goodness knows what they live on in the middle of a town , I do put carrots outside the gate when it's cold , we have had to chase them out of the garden when we have left the gate open , we are lucky because not many people have seen them . :o)
