Grown from seed this year...a free packet with a magazine.

Thanks Michaella! I wasn't even trying to snap these! There was a ripe one below them and it moved in the wind and came out blurred, but these two looked nice so I cropped the pic...a happy accident!

This is what is so great about wild/alpine strawbs - you get some fruit the same year as seed sown (now is just the right time). You will get far more next year, Karen. :-))

sometimes they are very sweet, but they are always intensely flavoursome! Unlike the strawberries I've had from the shops this year. I am definitely a 'raspberry person'!!
