Well I like to share,so all have a piece, and Sixpence thanx for offering me your share but I am also a big fruit eater so I think Homebird should have it as she is skinny,I am trying to keep my weight down so I can still fit into my clothes when I go away on holiday next month.

I baked a Christmas cake
about six weeks ago.
I'll have to bake another
We've eaten it...oh no!!!!
I used a brand new recipe
that turned out really good
then cut the cake into four parts
to freeze it if we could.
We ate the first bit, very nice
and then we ate the rest
I'll have to bake another
so I'll put it to the test!!!
(hope I don't have to bake a third!!!!) LOL

David said the cake is nice with nectarines in so I was going to try it, I would'nt mind your cake recipe Lin, sounds good especially if its been eaten already, thats always a good sign, did you pick up Shirleys recipe for this cake, its very simple to make and stays lovely and moist,

My recipe is from a cookbook that my sister bought me for Christmas one year called Margarets recipes. She owned a tea rooms at Chestnut Farmhouse. Margaret Bacon is her full name and all the recipes I've tried in her book seem to come out very well.

While you lot argued..I snuck in and pinched it!!

Oh I forgot to mention the merangue, it had chocolate on both insides, filled thick with fresh cream and laden with strawberries on top, gorgeous.
