Very attractive, nice to have mature trees in the garden....

yes i love them but they do make the garden shady, it faces east but we dont get the sun cos of the trees and the fact that they are on a hill above us making the trees even taller!
oh yes and now the leaves!

Yes they do have their drawbacks as well.

thank you ~ it has a lovely setting which helps enormously, soil is lovely and easy to dig ~ lots of leaves must help. i think my job is to enhance what is there ~ its a challenge ~ nature is very good all on its own!

Very nice! Beautiful indeed! Love the pinkish leaves on the copper beech and small shrubs (maybe pieris?). I bought a pieris last year and unfortunately it died probably because I didn't water it enough. Shame!
22 Feb, 2011
yes several pierris ~ they like it here; also have a couple of camelia and azalea

Delightful garden. Adore copper beeches, very envious, but can see why they might be a mixed blessing.

i love the copper beech its the oaks behind the fence which i love but their leaves seem to be everywhere forever!!
its only a little garden rose, but its enough for me!!
