i would check it out at a vets or something if you can, it may be tropical and someone has let it go, just incase it cant live in our winter conditions

thats what i think steve and iv tried to id it but cant find anything, its getting cooler now so it may be feeling the change of weather

It was found in the middle of the garden so no chance someone had let it go. It disappeared a couple of hours later so I don't know where it is now. Hope Lucy (the cat) didn't eat it but I don't think she did, because she seldom eats lizards although she loves mice and rabbits ;-)

it could have been let go or accidently escaped and wondered, depends how long its been out, shame you didnt hang onto it, hope its ok, i cant find anything like it on uk reptiles ;o(

I'm not a reptile person, so I just let it go~.
I bet it's okay.

the nearest I have come to is ,,,Lepidophyma Flavimaculatum. they are lizards black and yellow.!!!!!

I can't be certain but it looks very much like it,

im not sure yorkshire, i saw them but this one is alot bolder in colour and bigger markings, but if it is i cant see it will survive in our climate, it must have beloged to someone and either escaped or they let it go because they have become bored with it, makes me angry, i dont believe in keeping such things captive as pets, should be left in natural habitat,, sorry going on but its so upsetting that people just dont care

I don't think it belonged to someone because the village ('hamlet' more like it) is a very quiet and sleepy place with only several houses around and it has no shops. Plus none of our neighbours are interested in keeping this kind of creature as a pet. They are more interested in growing fruits & veggies and cooking. So, please please Sanbaz, don't get upset. Please smile, as you do in the avatar :D

Ooo he's a beauty Tommymoo, never seen one like that before, no definitely not a newt, I should have taken a picture of mine shouldn't I, he was only a tiny one, think he was a common newt, bright orange spotty belly but just plain light brown.

I should have turned him upside down and looked at the belly. I found out today that one of the differences between (gecko) lizards and newts was, the former have white(ish) belly and the latter red/orange :o) Plus lizards are reptilian (breath with lung) and newts are amphibian (breath with skin). Ignorance is a loss, not a bliss, sometimes lol :D
