They're good do-ers, aren't they! :-)

They are very pretty, but disappointed with mine the growth is lax and spindly, think will have to move it into a more sunny and airy position

They do tend to be a bit like that, Pp. Lax is a good word. Maybe a good hard prune in the spring would help the spindliness???
18 Sep, 2010
Will give it a try Barbara but it has been in situe 3yrs now so maybe totally wrongf place!

Oh dear - moving it wouldn't be easy, then. Their tap roots go so deep. I'd try the hard prune before you even 'think' of moving it! How much sun does it get?

I love these, Spritz :-)
Pp, i remember you saying about their lax habit and now mine is starting to get a wee bit that way, i think i'll hard prune mine in the spring - i'll let you know how it goes ;-)
By the way, i wouldn't say mine was in a paticularly sunny, airy position either - light shade for most of the year :-/

Thanks Barbara and Louise for you comments, Mine is planted in front of 10ft high conifers it isnt that shaded but lots of other plants growing around , think I will hard prune it in spring as you both suggest then see how it does;0))
