These Meadow Saffron are so colourful in the autumn sunlight.

Quite true but they are also coming to their end & in another week they will be gone until next year :-(( The photos I got of them 10 days ago were much better as they would have been in their prime then. :-))

Lovely....a shame that the heads are too heavy for the stems....I was reading about them the other day and naturally they would grow in grassland...so the heads would be supported.
