yes it's very hardy, the cold last winter did make it die down, but it grew back ok, most winters it stays relatively evergreen :-)

I definitely can't think of this as 'that' name - it's still a stipa to me!

You're more likely to find it under 'Stipa arundunacea', Cristina. :-)
