The French Lavenders have been great this month.....flowering much later than other years, they are an added bonus to the garden. I've just repotted the Bay tree which was a Xmas gift last year and has doubled in size....:o)

Your french lavender is standing very proud there, Janey. And the bay tree is flourishing too. They look nice against the greenery too.

Thank you Whistonlass, this lavender is very pale, and has quite a sharp. spicy scent, more like Rosemary.

Thanks San...it has come into it's own now....strangely enough it seems to like a good rain! Yes the little Bay is coming on well, on the label I have it says it's expectation of life is well over 100 years....crikey , wonder who I can leave it too...Lol!
Thanks Amy and Tog.....ooh you are good Amy....I'm afraid I haven't used any leaves so far, I forget all about it, yet use the other herbs especially Rosemary, we had Salmon tonight and I like to stick a few sprigs of it in it while it's cooking.
I know you would use Bay in casseroles and pot cooking....how do you use yours?

`Your bay is looking just wonderful Janey!! My Lavender`s have all finished
all heads been trimmed cut back, ready for next Summer?....I think my Bay could do with some
Sequestrene, as it is going yellow in places...with all this rain, they also need
feeding, which i cannot do at the moment : ~ ((
Such a pretty pic Janey!! 2 Beautiful plants....look so well together!!.

Titter San.....yes "in her will your Grandma has left you...........her Bay tree....and....care instructions!"....:o)) Ah...your younger than me San I'll bequeath it to you...not that I'm planning on going anywhere yet for a while...Lo
Hi Sheila, yes it looks quite happy now I've re-potted it.....these Lavenders are late, like yours I clipped my others a few weeks ago. Could you ask anyone to help? It's so frustrating when there are things to do and you can't....:o(( Take heart...you'll soon be mending, every day is one day nearer.....treat yourself to some new gardening mags and a lovely bottle of wine.....:o))

Thanks Dd....I like the look of the metal pot but it's not that practical....in the summer it does get quite hot, so dries the soil and roots out...if in a sunny position, I think I'll invest in a new more root friendly one next year....
Lol San!

That's a thought, Janey....I'd never thought about having metal pots and them drying out. Good tip to remember.
