It's a toadstool, Yorkshire, according to my book it's poisonous although on Google it's called a mushroom and says it can be used for 'spiritial and medicinal purposes' - I don't think I would chance it :)
There was a little group of them in the woods but this was the only completely intact one - I think the others had been trampled.
