This is another one of my double flowered African Violets growing on a west facing window in our kitchen. It is overexpose because I took it in direct sunlight & Picasa was unable to compensate for the extra light.

So glad it has impressed you so much, Janey! If you saw the original before I darked it with Picasa you might not think the same!
Did you notice the little white "bits" on the leaves & flowers? Well they are some kind of aphid & I was trying to get a close up photo to later post in the Questions section. That's also the reason I took the photo in sunlight. I was hoping that with more light these aphids might be more clearly visible only it didn't work out that way.
I often use Picasa to darken many of my photos & thereby increase the details that are otherwise "washed out". It also helps to give them that little extra depth. That way they don't look so "flat" when viewed on the computer screen.
