The Botanical Building in Balboa Park, San Diego, CA.

I've taken many of my posted pics in this gigantic lath house located in middle of Balboa Park. It's the largest lath house structure of its kind in the U.S. and one of the largest in the world. It was built in 1915 for the 1915-16 Exposition. Its greatest floral display emphasis is on orchids...which primarily bloom from fall through spring in San Diego...however, it's filled with many other tropical plants.

It's quite plain on the outside...but in the inside, well, you've seen the pics. :>)

That is just fantastic. I wouldn't call this building plain at all. You can just see through even at this distance. That is really something.

Yes, it is an incredible giant lath house. Sometimes you can see the plants growing out through the laths. :>)
