It's hardly stopped flowering since June - I hope all the buds open.

I really enjoy this one, mostly because of the colour. :-))
I hope so too!

Its beautiful, and well named too! I can just imagine him with one of these in his lapel as he conducts a suite!!

Wow, breathtaking....

Thanks, Pip - glad you like it.
Karen - maybe I should put on some appropriate music and open the door to persuade it to open its other buds? What shall I try...hmmm....The 'Hallelujah Chorus'??
(NOT the 'Water Music'!)

Well, the halleluia might scare them right off their branches. I think the 'Pastoral' would be just the right vibe!!
22 Oct, 2010
Errrr.......Beethoven? That might scare the poor thing into dropping its petals! lol.
22 Oct, 2010
No no, the pastoral in the Messiah! Too right, keep the Beethoven well away from the plants...in fact...keep it well away from the CD player all together....unless its the Emperor! I can manage that!

Ooops! Sorry! Yes, of course. Hmmm...the sheep over the hedge might enjoy that, too....good thought, K.

Thanks. I loved it on sight - and had to have one somewhere in my garden. I planted it by the stream wall, in the hope that it might scramble along, or flop over it. It hasn't grown enough to do that yet, but it might next year.
22 Oct, 2010
It must be a climber then? Does it bloom continuously all summer or is it a once only bloom?
23 Oct, 2010
It's a continuous one, Gilli, and you're right, it's a climber. :-)
23 Oct, 2010
