Go for it!
Grow them in small pots in a shady area, and most important, keep moist!
Should be a challenge for you in Corfu!

Outdoor yes, but in a pot. That way I was able to find the site where it was happiest.

Good idea. I just moved both of my Bleeding hearts to a kind of sheltered area. The pink one I have has started droping its leaves. How are yours in the winter?

Indoors, with lots of lovely green leaves!!

ooooook...I'm moving one of mine indoors then and see what happens. There will be no heat but better than outdoors. I read that it needs a cold period to set blooms.
I've had bleeding hearts before but I thought they were dead....probably not. Oh well, live and learn.

How cold can it get in Corfu?

It goes down to maybe 12 or 13 during the night. It may even go down to one digits sometimes, rare.
I'm going to follow and record the weather here this year.
Meanie....I had such a fright last night. We had a crazy storm with crazy winds....my husband came home from the shop and told me that my plant was thrown on the floor. You know which plant I'm talking about. I had nightmares that I had to drop out of the race. I can't believe my luck not even a TWIG broke....and it's planted in a clay pot. Talking about luck. :o)))

We had 0 degrees one year.....that was not too good.
Don't forget though I use to live in NY, that means snow and cold most of the winter.

Never been to NY, although I once had to go to Chicago on a job in the middle of winter - I changed my return flight, did the job and came straight home!

So I take it you really don't like the cold. Ditto. Even though it's hot here it gets really really damp during the winter months. I have my heat on all the time and thinking about buying a wood burner for when we have power cuts and such. I have really huge windows that make my house really warm with no heat on....but oh my it is scorching in the summer. (need to do something about that soon)

I loved my time in Malaysia, especially Penang.
No way would she go out there - she has a shellfish allergy which would make life sooo difficult! My other option would be New Zealand. But that's even further!

My time for traveling has come to a stand still, now I have to wait until all the kids are older.
