It is that time of year when the clouds get low enough to cause problems. The EU is paying for a road for cows that passes right in front of my woods - that is why the fore ground is dug up. I am growing trees to put in the front after a new wall is put up and the road paved.

It didn't cost me anything to heat my house last year. A few years ago, a strong wind blew down a lot of trees, and now with a road I can clear them out and have a nice fire.

Lovely that you can access free firewood....can't beat a lovely log fire in wintertime. Your property looks very nice with the wood/forest too.

You are so right about the log fire. You just don't get as warm as with a fire. You cann't see it very well, but straight ahead are chestnut trees that are dropping nuts all over the place.

How wonderful Wylie. Gosh! It must be great to have your own wood. My husband would love a bit of woodland, but I insist it would still needs a bit of tender care.
