Our copper beech has now gone orange for the autumn

Thank you Whistonlass. The tree is dark copper most of the year. Now of course the leaves are starting to drop and they take a long time to rake up.

Yes, raking up the fallen leaves is a necessary but tiring task. It seems you just get one lot raked up and another lot falls to the ground! lol

We've just bought a 'rake and grab'. You rake up the leaves and the pull something on the handle and it catches them put in the garden recycling bin. Saves bending down to pick them up.

We have a garden hoover. It blows all the leaves in to a pile and then you can suck them up and pop them in the compost bin. They get chopped up as they land in the bag. No good if it rains but helpful sometimes.

I am especially fond of all the autumn colours...you've captured a beautiful tree there, Casso.
