Nandina domestica (Heavenly bamboo)

Is it spreading? My bamboo has plenty of space and is popping up all over the place. It has made a nice "glade" in my lower garden.

Heavenly bamboo is an odd name for this, as it is NOTHING like bamboo! No, it does not spread at all. Yours sounds lovely . .

We grow this and it taking it's time to spread, your Nandina gets more sun perhaps?

Yes, it gets a lot of sun, but doesn't spread at all, so I'm perplexed by its common name. I love the way it has different leaf colours randomly, and often recommend it to people as a pretty and reliable evergreen.

No TT, it doesn't spread at all. That's why I don't understand why its common name is Heavenly Bamboo (which of course can spread invasively). Maybe Chrispook's isn't Nandina?? :))
