I see you have a greenhouse to the right. Why would you need a greenhouse over there?

I start many of my tropical seeds in the little unheated greenhouse. Delonix regia - Royal Poinciana, Colvillea racemosa - Colville's Glory, Cassia fistula - Golden Shower tree and several other plants needing very high temps to germinate well...and my greenhouse gets up to 100F/ 38C or hotter almost every day in spring and summer.

Sure you can. Although, it's pretty small...only 8ft x 8ft x 7ft high! It also has lots of holes in it. :>)

Meanie you really should take yourself to a hot location!!!

Death Valley is definitely no place to be in summer. The heat there is truly deadly! The temps there can commonly get up to 127F/ 53C. or even hotter, if you can believe that.

Yes, a little greenhouse it the best way to start seeds. The seedlings are kept out of the direct sunlight...and birds can't get into the soil.

We are having red sand coming up from Africa today....You can see it and it's making us all stuffy.....I really feel for the people down south. If it rains today we are going to be covered in red mud!!!

Two weeks hard graft earnt me about AUS $250 Alexandra!! I kept one, it's in a box in the loft somewhere....

It's been a while since we've had a severe Santa Ana Wind...when this happens we get the dust and sand from the mountains and desert to the east of San Diego. Thank goodness it doesn't happen too often!

The temps here have been slightly below normal for the last 3 days, only around 70F/ 21C during the day and the morning lows have been a very cool 53F/12C. This is a far cry from last week's 100F/38C temps. Today it's suppose to start warming back up to normal temps of 76F/24C.
