Chlorophytum comosum - Green Spider Plants

These green spider plants have taken over certain areas of my yard. I mow this area down regularly (unfortunately, they still come back) Photo taken Nov. 16, 2010.

This plant is almost as bad as Wandering Jew (Tradescantia fluminensis) in my yard. I can't get rid of it!

We should all be so lucky! lol... As Meanie says, they are houseplants here too... Incidentally they are on the list of beneficial houseplants too...they help clean the air. I have the variegated Chlorophytum and a woolly tradescantia that I got at a plant sale at the U of G back in the 70's. (I was told it was an Australian type) Everytime I moved I would take a couple of pieces and give the potted plant away.
